Crazy size and weight for the 24-70mm f2.8 VR:
1070 grams. 154.5mm measured from the flange. Yikes. That lens makes it about as long as my 70-200mm f4 L lens on my 6D. And way heavier too.

The old Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 already was very bulky, but the new one almost dwarfs it:

And it looks like it has quite some mechanical vignetting, look at the swirly bokeh:
