Looks like it's not bad optically but the stone age electronics kinda make one wonder if it's worth it. However, it's a very new item so the price will likely drop. Even the Sigma 50/1.4 (non-A) started out as quite a bit more expensive than the Canon/Nikon offerings but ended up being on par with them price-wise.
