Question for Klaus re Testing - PBR Streetgang - 06-15-2012

I've been comparing the Nikon and Sony full format testing results and it seems that many Nikon high end lenses significantly outperform Sony high end lenses. I would think the results are comparable because the a900 and D3X share the same 24 mp sensor. Are they not comparable for some reason? Thanks

No, they are not comparable (as mentioned several times on the site actually).

The sensor itself is not the only key aspect. The Sony A900 has a significantly more aggressive AA filter than the D3x - this is the main difference here.

This is also true for all other testing websites - just to mention. The fact is usually ignored though.
