Next PZ lens test report: Zeiss Distagon T* 18mm f/3.5 ZF - mst - 10-06-2011

Good, but not stellar. And for most DX only shooters certainly too expensive for what it delivers.

Looks like that for a DX-only user, it's definitely way to expensive to make any sense... heck, even the 18-55 DX seems to hold up decently.

I actually wondered why one would bother to test these two lenses on DX.....nikons 18-xx zoom lenses are so good at 18mm that i doubt one gains anything from primes. Given that these two beasts are so expensive, heavy and comparativly slow for a prime, they would only be used on DX by a FX shooter who has to use his DX backup body after his FX camera has broken down.
