Sure I'm pretty happy to have now a zoom 150-600, which is much more flexible. But having adapted to use only the older 300 Æ’/4 + teleconverters for years, I could have enjoyed the lighter weight of the newer one - which is also stabilised.

The stabilisation has some blind/blurry spots between 1/160 and 1/320, faster or slower is better in terms of sharpness. I have the last TC17 (510/6.8), but the Tamron 150-600 G2 is definitely not worse. Just more versatile. The Nikkor, however, is a pleasure to handhold.
