Sample gallery: Olympus 17mm f/1.2 PRO - Klaus - 02-04-2020

Hint: It's not as good as the 45mm f/1.2 PRO

The issue that I have with many 35mm (FF) lenses is how they render (background bokeh). This lens (35mm f2.4 FF equivalent) is a nice surprise, your sample images show very pleasant rendering. Certainly nicer than my EF-M 22mm f2 (35mm f3.2 FF equiv.).

Yes, the bokeh is pleasant. However - and that's me saying that - the ability to isolate objects is insufficient even at f/1.2.
f/1.2 works nicely on the 45mm, maybe on the 25mm, but at 17mm (=34mm f/2.4) it becomes pointless on MFT.

If only Voigtlander would release their f0.95 MFT lenses with AF ;-)
