Next PZ lens test report: Tokina AF 17-35mm f/4 AT-X Pro FX (Nikon FX)

Ok, but not something you'd dream of. Given its competitive pricing it matches most expectations, I'd say.

Thanks Markus - much appreciated. You're certainly churning out the reviews now. Is this your full-time job these days?

You guys have all been pretty active lately, after a break that you probably needed a lot. It's great fun to read photozone now.

Speaking of the lens in question... it doesn't look too enticing per se, but in context it's fairly good (looks pretty much equal to the 17-40L for example, although with different ups and downs along the range).

Markus, how would you compare this Tokina to Nikon 17-35?

May be here is not the right place to say it but...

Whoever worked on changing the look of PZ it did excellent job, I like it very much. It also seem more responsive while visited via smart phone.

Personally, I'd prefer the Nikon because of its faster aperture and AF-S.

However, you'll have to pay considerably more for the Nikkor, unless you find a heavily used one (which I'd hesitate to buy).
