The X-E4 is a missed opportunity IMO. Way too dumb down and no IBIS. Additionally, it still uses the old crappy tiny EVF that first appeared in the X-T10...

The 70-300 is a very welcome new addition! From the dpreview samples, it looks good optically.

The XF 27 f2.8 is nice but f2.8 is too slow for a prime IMO. It should have been f2 instead.

The XF 27mm f2.8 WR may be slow, but it is the same lens as the XF 27mm f2.8.. that has been around since 2013. What has changed is better weather sealing (WR) and an aperture ring. So it is as slow as it as been since 2013...

Its claim to fame is the pancake size of course, not "fast prime". Albeit Canon does make its comparable lens one stop faster, the Fuji is still a nice pancake. And Fuji of course also offers the XF 23mm f2... Albeit that one is not pancake size.

I'm aware it's the same (optically) as the old 27mm f2.8. I own it ;-)

It would have been a good opportunity to revisit it by making it f2. A f2 pancake about the same size or slightly longer would have been doable IMO.

I agree that it is doable, I own one that gets pretty close. i think I'd prefer the Fuji though, it appears to render a little nicer, which affects more images than the difference between "f2" and "f2.8".

Fuji seems a little lazy with these "WR" versions... But then again, they have a small market share so the development budget won't be huge.
