Why not combine both lines into a single D4, just as Canon did? IOW: who'd buy a D4x with the same sensor as the D800?

I cannot agree with that Markus... At least I desperately don't want to <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

Frankly, I think that having two FX bodies with the same 36mp sensor is not the wise choice, that's obvious. OTOH, having only one FX body with that 36mp sensor (think about the Nikon pricing strategy), is not wise either. I would say, why not a D4x with 36mp and a D800 with less resolution, which delivers D3s like IQ with more pixel density... (I guess I added a lot of wishful thinking to that arguement <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
