We ordered ours today. For me, it's a better reason to spend money than the D600: I'm happy with the user concept of the D7000, I still have nice DX lenses (thanks to your tests, thank you very much!), I want the quiet shutter - and all for less money than a D600 which lately increased in price about 25% at the dealer I always thought I would buy it. And the D800 sometimes is too bulky, heavy and for somebody who doesn't use a camera each day more difficult to set up. I like this U1 and U2 settings very much.
Pity that Nikon fancies for each cam new battery grips. But after two years happy using and 12.000 pictures it might be fun to explore the possibilities of the new one so many people waited so long for, were guessing and fantasizing so much about.
