I have no doubt that this lens is a very good lens but I do not think it is a holy grail or ultimate unique lens as you suggest and lets not begin the debate on actual vs theoretical aperture (i.e, your claim: "there is no other 1.x telephoto in the 135 ~ 200 mm equivalent range...")

To be honest while I believe that it is much easier and cost effective to design lenses for 4/3 (than 35mm); olympus for the most part has done well here.

I missed the "unique for mFT" bit - sorry. I am well aware that for FF and APS-C SLRs there are excellent solutions available. If you are in mFT your choice is this one or nothing - unless you are prepared to carry and use larger kit.
