The high res of the D800 and it's merciless talent of revealing the shortcomings of our shooting technique - it only means that it takes some effort to get the photo-file at a 100% of what the camera is capable of, it doesn't mean we cannot shoot it (in less favourable conditions)! I barely begun exploring my D800 and still the one impression I get is that the pics I get (and that with a bit sloppy hand-holding shooting) are nicer, in terms of rendition, than the ones I was used to (from a D700). It's more prone to vibration/motion induced blur but it's not a show-stopper.
I haven't tried the live-view, so I've no idea if I'll have issues as tha above mentioned..

I would appreciate if you can share your experiences with the D800 (here or in another thread). Because real life experiences coming from a D700 user would mean a lot (to me, at least)...
Improved AF module was one of the topics I highlighted for myself even before I saw the D800 specs. So it's good to hear that...

Quote:Oh, and the AF "engine" does indeed work better then in the D700 in dim light conditions.. that alone is amazing <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
