It's the other way around, it's about how easy you can find a shot @f/5.6 that could have been better @f/4 and being able to tell exactly why, for instance (and not exclusively) : it's too noisy or it's too blurry.
Really, there is no need to "back up" a subjective approach based on oneself experience. You can actually do that exercise with your own picture collection. Look for these pictures you like but wish could have been better but haven't due to these constraints (excluding composition and the likes).
Perhaps you can't relate to it because of your style of shooting, your gear, or whatever but I can tell you that it's perfectly reasonable to say that Olympus MFT cameras can certainly benefit -speaking only of noise- from any single stop improvement if your past "requirements" were shaped by owning a APS-C class camera, my situation. If I was a former point and shooter, I'd probably set my limits elsewhere.
anyway, why not debate over the actual size&specs on that other thread rather than hair-splitting personal likings.
