Thanks for your work here.
Out of interest, do you fold price into your judgement here? You seem quite happy with this one, but a bit not so happy with the Zeiss recently. Comparing the numbers, e.g. 4.0 there is nothing much between the two. The Zeiss suffers badly in the corners wide open, but in comparison to this one does well at the "borders", compare 2.8.
I agree, that considering your MTF figures the AF-S 50/1.4 G beats the two by quite a mile. But then you are not so happy with its "bokeh" wide open. Perhaps a matter of "you can't have it all".
