Yawn. What a fruitless discussion. Both lenses seem to offer superb quality in real life as judged by the samples. Which one is better is not determined by resolultion but by compatability with your camera mount.



As a side note: Anybody who has ever shot with a lens knows that resolution can very slightly with focus distance, since the optical system changes. In addition, there is also the issue of sample variation and field curverture. Thus slightly differnt results between photozone tests and real life shots are nothing special but quite normal. formal lens tests provide just like individual sample shots not more than a rough guideline about lens performance. There are certainly inadaquate to furnish proof about diminiutive and practicaly irrelevant differences in sharpness.
