Let's cheer ourselves up with a little Quiz-i-poo!
What's is the lens used to take this image of the Red Dragonfly?
No post cards required! Just guess!
It's decently sharp!

DSC... Digital Still Camera? From Nikon? 1234... Is that a coincidence?
Hard to judge the FOV of the lens used, in this image. It looks longer than 55mm, to me. No clue?

But I bet you can guess which lens was used (on FF) for this image?

(not photoshopped)
Given the recent Nikon chat I'll go for the 55mm F3.5 manual macro!
A weensy clue to my image, well it's my most shot recently acquired lens, but with a little twist thrown in to put you off the scent.
Sweet bokeh eh!

Your image indeed has smoooooooth bokeh. And yep, you are spot on regarding my photo.
I guess you used a TC?
No TC there! But your warm!
It's about half the frame!
I can see that the whole photographic world is utterly flummoxed over the lens used in this macro shot, so without further ado I will reveal the answer!
Da Da!!!
It is the Tamron 150-600mm VC.... F5.6-6.3... telephoto zoom @ 280mm F8 1/400 sec at 800 ISO. in conjunction with a 36mm AF extension tube, the AF still functions fine as does the VC, shooting at approx. 2 meters.
Now we can all sit back and relax.......Ah that's better..
