Nikon patent for 35mm f1.0 DX (with integrated WC)

"FX" 50mm f1.4 with "speedbooster" (wide angle converter). Would only make sense with an APS-C MILC?? (because the wide angle converter needs space between camera and lens)

Maybe Nikon is realizing that the Nikon 1 series won't cut it in future?

Yep. Google translate is aweful as always, but I think the blog post states that the patented lens would be incompatible with SLRs.

This would be SLR-incompatible.  The overall length is >> the focal length so the backfocus must be short.

Indeed, it is the same as the AF-S 50mm f1.4, and then a WC between camera and lens.
