Excellent detail in the sample photos, which is to be expected from a nearly diffraction limited lens at a decent aperture.  Good show, canon.

I wish Nikon would deliver such a lens to the market.

Although 6500 € is not exactly chicken feed...

Given the recent release of Nikon's 300mm f/4 "PF" I don't think a generally similar 400mm is that much of a stretch to reach at some time in the future.

I'm afraid at it's price point all I can do is stare over the fence, I'm still salivating for the Tamron review!
