Internal reflection issue with (some?) D750 (s)

Thanks for that....very worrying as otherwise the camera looks pretty impressive. The problem isn't even mentioned in the DPR preview though I find that site becoming increasingly lightweight under the editorship of Barney Britton.

To DPReview's defence, I think the problem surfaced more widespread on the web after the preview got published? But yes, it also took a long time for dpreview to even mention the SLT ghosting problem of the 1st two SLTs from Sony (and even downplayed it into nothingness when they did).

After reading a lot of posts, I am still not sure what exactly causes the D750 reflections and shadows.

Most light leaks are in the heads of some users.

Look at the review of the D750 at dpreview.

No word about a light leak. My D750 shows also no light leak.

Meanwhile Nikon steps ahead with one of the best DSLRs.

There is no "light leak". There is something that causes strong reflections in the mirror box, when that area is hit with light. It causes strong veiling and something blocks that veiling too, creating bands without the veiling.

Whether your D750 can show this too can only be figured out by CORRECTLY testing it under the circumstances the phenomenon would appear.

That DPreview did not test for that is normal, and so that DPReview does not mention it is normal too. That you think it is a light leak, shows that you have not tried to understand the issue, and shows you have not actually tried to see if it appears with your D750 and with which lenses.

Of course, in most circumstances the issue is no issue, so the chances that many photographers will not encounter it are pretty high.

You have a D750 and tested it Rolleyes

I don't think so.

Many have tested their D750 and found the issue.

Why would I in particular matter?

I did test my 2 current digital cameras, with different lenses (and different light sources). I could not get a similar effect (neither the veiling appearing when the light source went out of the image frame (which is the real problem), nor any tell tale bands without the veiling.

It is not as if this issue has anything to do with me, so why would it matter if I have a D750 or not and test it or not, according to you?

Because you are not in the position to judge about my testing methods.

You don't own a Nikon DSLR. For me you are not competent enough to make conclusions about this topic.

DPreview has stated that they couldn't find an issue with the so called internal reflection.

All you are doing is trotting out some forum babbling.

Are you really so gullible? Or what is your REAL intention?

Well, you still are talking about light leak, so that makes it clear you have NOT looked into the subject much.

Why would I need to own a DSLR made by Nikon to get to any conclusions? Odd assumption.

Your real intention appears to flame me for pointing out some issue being discussed by D750 owners concerning internal reflections in the mirror box of the D750 which has impacted some photographers who like to use back lighting. Not the first time you have done this, and never with any real arguments.

And what am I supposed to be "so gullible" about? Are you saying all those D750 owners who find that issue in those circumstances are not real? That it is a hoax for which I have fallen?
