These are lovely pics. Just in my eyes left border is somehow worse at shorter FL's, and right border worse at 35mm?

Thanks. The 35mm shots look ok to me, might be DOF rather than lens softness.

I agree that the 17mm shots look a bit fishy on the left side.

Thanks. That monster was a little scary, since I was a lot close to the (working) scissors on the left than the image suggests <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

All images were shot this evening around my home village.

It was No. 14, closer to upper right corner:

Or maybe I just peep too much <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />.

Wow, I guess this will be the first serious review of this lens on Nikon. Thanks for the samples Markus, I'm looking forward to read the review...

OTOH, I already ordered the Nikon 16-35mm instead of this one (because of my concerns about the Tokina QC). I somehow felt a relief because the long search for a UWA zoom was ended finally... BUT, today the friend I ordered the lens travelling in NY called me telling that 16-35mm is out of stock (both B&H and Adorama), and that the dealer offered him this Tokina instead of the Nikon <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />... I told him to skip Tokina because the test samples compared here was like go-for-the-Nikon... I think I'm somehow cursed when it comes to the UWAs.

Hello Serkan, this lens is in stock at this internet store in Holland. They are very reliable and quick.

Thanks VL... I think I will get a better price here in Istanbul. Import taxes makes that supplier expensive...

Tokina 17-35 or Nikon 17-35? Nikon is used.
