No, it was purchased new that way. Repairs came later, but never managed to adress the decentering of the first review unit.
I suspected the 2nd unit to be off specs because of the poor border results I got, even though I couldn't find any signs of decentering or similar issues. The third unit finally confirmed my findings. Given there are currently some other "distractions" the review still took a while to get published.
Now that it's finally out, Sigma will certainly announce a 70-200 OS II soon <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Given the product history so far, an update is already overdue...
