There is definitely no focus shift with our review unit. The focal plane doesn't move at all when stopping down, which will be visible in the usual LoCA sample shots when the review is out. Of course, these shots are taken at rather close distance (in this case close to MFD), but the focus did not move during the MTF measurements, too. And that applies to all 3 test camera, so for different focus distances.



The mixed sharpness results other sites have seen might (warning, I'm only speculating here) be a mixture of a "dent" in the MTF curve quite close to the center (see Nikon's official MTF chart) that might move when stopping down combined with slight field curvature, which changes with the chosen aperture.



In any case: it's definitely not focus shift what others have been seeing. As I have mentioned before, I did not notice any issues at all after I have been in the field with this lens.
