Thank you all for your kind inputs, which are very valuable and helpful.
Finally, I bought a GF1+14-45mm with a (relatively) good price. I did not buy a GF2 because I could not find a GF2+14-45mm combination and I really want the 14-45mm kit lens. While for a normal prime, I am not sure if I should go for the 20mm f1.7 or the 25mm f1.4 and I will leave the decision to future. I did not go for a GX1 because I feel the current price is still somewhat high (and marginally within my budget as I already said).
After playing a while with the GF1 with the kit lens, I find that I like it very much. Frankly, it delivers more than I have expected from such a compact camera e.g. the superb IQ. Handling is excellent, although I am still learning how to properly grasp such a small body with my right hand's fingers in right positions and in the same time grasp the lens with my left hand properly. A major missing feature compared to more modern MTF cameras is a touch screen. But I don't miss it since I have never used a touch screen. Without a view finder makes me feel somewhat inconvenient when framing and focusing, but the "MF assistant" feature in live view has impressed me in a positive way. So, it seems that it is not that bad without a view finder (but certainly I agree that a view finder is always welcome in a MFT camera).
As I played with the camera a question came into my mind: Is it possible to switch the image aspect ratio format (4:3 to 3:2 and vice versa) in post proecessing of RAW files in ACR? After searching the net I found that for PEN cameras this can be done with at least some image softwares but I did not find an answer for GF1. Does any one know the answer?
With best regards,
Frank
