On the surface I agree that $900 is too much; but if the lens is biting sharp wide open and the street price is a bit lower ($750 or so) it might be ok. What is more insulting is the lack of a hood (and price if you want the hood). Anyways it is what it is and you can choose to buy or walk away. I'm undecided. I think i will try my c/y 100f3.5 lens which is rather sharp wide open and see how I like it - the 75 adds 2 stops; I could try the 85f1.4 I guess; but it is not biting sharp at f1.4; though by f2.8 it is pretty darn good. Oh well I can think about it; to be honest all newly designed lenses these days are fairly expensive (well the voigtlander and sigma are good prices; but noticed how expensive the micro-4/3 voigtlander lenses are)

As to the price of the em-5; it is actually not so bad I thin when you consider the nex-7; nex-5n with evf or gh2 when it was new; mind you I wouldn't mind it being $500; but it is at least in line with alternative cameras.

Talking about prices....
The Olympus 75mm f1.8 $900. Also kinda steep, considering it is comparable to a Nikon 85mm f1.8 and Canon 85mm f1.8 in focal length and aperture, and is an FF equivalent of a 150mm f3.6. Or an APS-C equivalent of about 120mm f2.8.
