The B&W conversion in Color Efex lacks a bit of control indeed, but I guess the guys at Nik wanted to be able to earn a bit of money with B&W too <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' />.
Nik software also works in Lightroom, so if you would like to have a go at Silver Efex (with a temporary free version at first), that is an option too.
