The lens has since been discontinued, that's why you'll only see a FX review, but not also one on the 5D Mark II.

Oh snap! I didn't know that happened! Just checked the North American distributor and they do have it as discontinued. <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> But it seems there is a 28/2.8 and 75/1.8 on the way in the SLII series.

Interesting, where did you find the 28/2.8?



The 75/1.8 is overdue, I think, that was first mentioned ages ago.

Yes, the German site still lists it as current, but Cosina (the main site in Japan) as discontinued:

Steven Gandy's Cameraquest eShop usually has the latest (and a pretty good archive of the oldest) news. Here is the SLII page: http://cameraquest.com/Voigt_SL2.htm



Highlights (news to me):



- The 20mm, 40mm and 58mm lenses are getting revised (SLII N) with metal focusing barrels similar to the M-mount lenses and yellow distance scale numbers(IMHO, ugly compared to the silver knurled SL or the black rubber SLII barrels), compare:



Probably Zeiss complained that the SLII lenses looked to similar to their ZK lenses.



- 28mm lens mentioned (between the 20mm and 40mm lenses).



- 75mm f/1.8 lens



- 90mm f/3.5 discontinued <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
