The exact meaning of my sentences is as follow: if some day I want to replace my 80-200mm f2.8, I would consider to replace it with a AF-S 70-200mm f4 VR, assuming that a Nikkor AF-S 70-200mm f4 VR exists then and is good. Of course, I was not saying that the 80-200mm f2.8 is better than the 70-200mm f2.8. Your arguments reassured me that the extra stop aperture of the f2.8 relative to the f4 is not necessary for my purpose (but may be necesssary for other users), especially considering the weight and price of the AF-S 70-200mm f2.8 VR(II).



And yes, I love primes and like the 135mm focal length for portraits. I used to consider the Nikkor AF 135mm f2 DC but later I found some users said that the DC effect is not pronounced. Then I read a rumor saying that Nikon is going to release a new AF-S 135mm f1.8 VR, so I am waiting for the new 135mm lens and saving money for it (not for the extra 1/3 stop aperture, but for the VR, maybe faster focus speed, and maybe even better IQ)<img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
