Next PZ lens test report: Nikon AF-S 85mm f/1.8 G

Another surprise <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> Most lenses so far struggled quite a bit on the D7000 towards the borders, the AF-S 85/1.8 G however keeps the performance on the same high level as on FX.

Thanks for this review !(and for many others)

This lens is on my wish list :-) (replacing the 1.8D which I thought of before, and did not take due to bookeh)

One thing I would like to ask is, the comment that this lens is not suitable as portrait for 7K.

I think of it for using as portrait of face + shoulder.

is it because the "relative" focal length ? meaning the perspective due to distance needed is too much ?

thanks

Nimrod
