If I can put that in different words, you are looking at one specific area, but people are asking two (or more) questions. The two questions being "how good is a lens in this system", the other one being "I could go for different systems and lenses, how do they compare?". Of course the latter is much more complicated, and of less importance compared to those already in a system and don't care about others. But with more sensor sizes than ever now, I think it is a bigger question to answer, if not necessarily here.
