Photo Shops in Europe (or elsewhere)
#11
Sweden:

http://www.scandinavianphoto.se/

http://www.cyberphoto.se/

they are photocentric, very serious and the most used by photo community.

Also you can think to http://www.fotosidan.se: yes, it isn't a webshop, but a photo portal, kind of e-magazine with community, but **everybody** in Sweden use it.

Well, only the big ones offer affiliate programs.

Amazon is always a good choice but they don't really pay well here in Europe (very different to the US).

Is Jessops really a popular ONLINE dealer ?

Same goes for Calumet (they also operate shops here in Germany but they're not really into the online business).

Not sure how big they are, but might be worth having a look

Warehouse Express would be an option but unfortunately they pay even less than Amazon Uk.

Argos is better but they've very little stuff in our scope.

The others have no affiliate program as far as I can tell.

I guess this translates to Jessops then in the Uk.

Thx!

Mediamarkt is not a big online player, and has a very limited DSLR lens range.

Well, Redcoon is an online giant and they're the online subsidiary of Mediamarkt.

i have no idea about partnership policies from far away and i could only suggest shops with web sites/sales that i have bought from (in the shop) that have been good for me (reliable, good gear and service) but you should check their guarantee or replacement policy - oz isn't usa or germany -

the best strictly online for me (for gear not available locally) - fast, good gear, excellent service and returns policy =

So BH is a player in down-under ? I thought that the shipping costs would spoil the game. That's the show-stopper from a local perspective.

What about amazon.com then ?

The others have no affiliate programs it seems.

too bad about the others, they have been good shops for me, i suppose we are a bit slow here - re. b&h, their prices (+shipping & tax) have been at least the equal of prices here and sometimes slightly better but i like to buy locally if the gear is available here, and ahem, b&h ship fast, and they offer a replacement policy that is not the law down here - although fotoreisel has replaced a poor lens with a very good one for me -

amazon? - i don't know - i like the service i've had from my selection of shops and maybe don't look further . . . unless they could offer a superrotator at an affordable price :-) - no doubt this lens is excellent and worth the $ for a pro but is a tad expensive for me right now
