Well, that's quite common with fast glass. Wide open, the contrast is a bit lower than slightly stopped down. It's well visible in the bokeh fringing samples, but these are shot at rather close focus, where many lenses lack contrast anyway. So, the issue is emphasized in these shots.



In the field, it's less of an issue though. And, at least when shooting RAW, the cure is quite simple and only one slider move away <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />
