In summary a bit better than the Nikon[/quote]
WOW!
Thanks Markus,
I have one question. Can you share your experience with this lens in panning mode?
Greetings,
Miro
PS: I know that this is tricky question. The top photographers advice to check for yourself what works best for you – with or without IS/VR/VC. While VC can help AF in some panning situation VC/IS/VR can work against you.
My experience with this lens is that VC on panning mode doesn’t give any advantage. The percentage of keepers with and without VC is the same. I’m beginner BIF photographer. Razor sharp BIF at 1/15sec with 500mm lens is far…far above my achievement. :-)

There's another "recent" Tamron lens that PZ didn't review: AF 55-200 F/4-5.6. Is it in the pipeline?

Not at the moment. Is it still a current lens?

Sorry, miro, for now I can't. I have not had the chance to use the lens in such a way extensively. Maybe I can add that information at a later date, at least for some time I will keep the lens for myself.
