I think here it needs to be one thing or another. An IF design implies a totally different optical design in itself. And with SSM the MF feel will be different too. I do want to have AF on it too for when I'm not doing macro, but long term I think I'll end up with a standard prime for that to replace the cheapo 1.8 I have now.
