May I ask you you to have a look at the photo attached? (f/1.4, OOC, just converted to JPEG in NX2)
I own the Sigma and use it with a D300. My only real issue with the lens is a huge amount of purple CAs that are often very visible when shooting with f/2 or faster.
Would you consider this as "normal behaviour" for this lens? I also have worse examples... Although you can usually get rid of the effect with Capture NX2 you often loose color information doing so.
Besides that on DX I have the impression that the borders a pretty good. Like the lens alot!

EDIT: Just for the record: This is, how it looks after setting "Korrektur des Farblängsfehlers" to 75 in NX, and applying some sharpening and denoising.
