Now that's not exactly fair is it? An ipod is not just an ipod.
For example, to give a specific model you should say something like
"iPod Nano 4th generation 8GB in Black."
Or, if someone asks which lens you have, just say "Tamron". Maybe use the model number instead of the full name e.g. Tamron B005 for the above example.
