Nikon Z launched
#91
I'll gonna try that, if I get the camera this week.

It seems that that small piece of news hasn't yet hit the Nikon ML buying public!

It seems that most of us "ML buying public" don't care too much about Wink

The ones who want to use the camera to film will be either waiting to see how good it really is. And this group probbaly is already equipped with cine lenses. The photographing group looks forward to try out existing lenses with the adapter, as there are not much alternatives. Nearly all of us have a 50/1.8 or something like that. And although I think the lens will be very good, it's no focal length I use often. Either too short or not long enough.

The Tokina 12-24mm f4 DX also doesn't/didn't focus breathe.

FWIW my loyal Canon 17-55f2.8IS doesn't have focus breathing, too bad despite that it's not good for video since IS is noisy, and the zoom mechanism isn't that smooth, Wonder why Canon is still refusing to update this lens and Canon EF 50mm f1.4, it has been ages since their launch

FYI, your loyal Canon EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 IS USM does have focus breathing.

I thought you were the biggest fan of the EF 50mm f1.4 USM and were going to buy a new copy? What happened?

I did buy a new copy of the 50f1.4 and I am very pleased with it.

Ok, good then. And now you learned that your 17-55mm, just like the other Canon 17-55mm's, does focus breathe.

It's when it stops breathing you have to worry!
Big Grin listen to the heartbeat of the lens - or whatever is pumping around
