#1
A new FW has been released for the Z series MLCs.

It promises animal eye detect, better tracking and better general performance ........

Slowly catching up with Sony ?

Good morning, dave... https://forum.opticallimits.com/showthre...8#pid50168

No, it's not catching up with Sony. The tracking frame is as big as it was before, but more sticky and the usability is vastly improved. Also, more CFE cards will be supported - and the two different fn-buttons of the new and still unavailable 70-200/2.8 will also be supported.

Now Nikon, give the lens to them who are eagerly waiting for it.

   Morning JoJu !! ......

Have you customized BBF ?? .... from what I gleaned from various posts, tracking is far better and can stopped and restarted by the BBF button, which then lets the focus point return to it's original chosen position.
Nice to see that Nikon is still burning the midnight oil in the background. really Nikon has come a long way since the release of the Zs!
I want the Z series to be successful because they have a great feel in the hand and are nicely made ........ I had this slight urge to own a Z6 ...... I didn't mention it to my D500s ........ they are very sensitive ......... for the moment the urge has passed .... Smile

Apparently the S 70-200mm is in a class of it's own!

I always use BBF and it's exactly how you describe it. How good the tracking is, I need to find out. Currently I'm also impressed as Nikon just has 3 bodies out and FW 3.00. Fujifilm throws much more hardware-versions to the market. They recently published a FW update to fix "bugs", but the old flaws were still there. Pointless crap.
