Another insanely expensive lens with plenty of better and cheaper alternatives ?

#2
Rebranded Mitakon for 3x the price.

The mitakon has radioactive elements...

It does? And why would that be an issue (besides for the workers who make that glass element)?

Just because someone edits a wiki page without discussion or source does not make it true. And that "source" states lanthanum, which is less radioactive than... bananas. Go figure.

Quick, let's go edit it further and say that the radioactive element is specially selected to give mirrorless cameras a battery life boost.

Unless they are "made" by Meyer Optic.

Raw material maybe, but have you tried to polish a banana to optical grade?

I'm too scared because of the radioactivity.

Bananas are an important constituent part of the buyer/construction relational interface of this lens.....

......... none being required in the fabrication of the lens and it's optics themselves.......

........but their being a preempted requisite on behalf of the purchaser!
