Truth to be told, while I never find this lens thrilling, it is still offering fantastic price/performance ratio.

Most people will still use this lens for landscapes, where the wider end shines along with the ability to use standard filters. Plus - it's quite compact for hiking.

It makes a sensible 14-24/4 option for landscape, plus 24-30 for some wide portraits, video and photo-journalism type of stuff.
You just can't have too many lenses...

That astigmatism its pretty bad indeed, especially for modern only f4 lens. Images look "torn apart" at the borders at 30mm.
