I like this one more than the Tamron ...

... but, of course, it is much more expensive.

We love you Klaus. In the "good" sense of the word. Smile

Tell me... is there a chance you might take the Sigma 150-600 C for a ride the lab? Or are you done with the super-long lenses?

#3
There is "a chance" but I still have 4 others lenses "in my stock".

Well you can sit down to a well earned drink after that Klaus!

Comments; the Sport has a comfortable win over the Tamron but not by a country mile. The 600mm end is the most convincing and probably the most important gain, I find F6.3 @600mm on the "T" a no go area where the "S" is very usable.

Kinda disappointed again by those onion rings, against sparkling water they are a pain.

I was going there "but" that  S/H  Nikor AF-S 500mm F4 is sucking me in, it's F4 is just going to be shear luxury.

I can see that even with the S's better sharpness @ 600mm it will still struggle on APS-c  ( I have seen a few comments in utube reviews to that effect)

Small correction in the distortion section: The <span style="font-family:Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:12px;text-align:justify;">Tamron</span> lens produces pincushion distortions

Well, it'll be one off-mainstream lens.

But it's also time to go mirrorless again.

Samyang 12mm 2.0?
