The FE 24-70mm F4 lens is heavy. Making the A7R + the lens like the DSLR, weight-wise.
I still much prefer the NEX-7 (+ 18-55/F3.5-5.6 kit lens)'s weight.

The A7r weighs in at 407g and the FE 24-70mm at 430g.
The D610 is 760g and the D800e is 900g. The Nikon 24-70mm f 4.0 is with Peter Pan and Captain Hook in Never Never Land.
The Canon 6D is 680g and the 5D is 860g and the Canon 24-70mm weighs in at 600g.

So the A7R + FE24-70 is still sort of lighter comparing to Nikon and Canon. (Not for my arms.)
(Perhaps you can ask Captain Jack Sparrow for getting back your Nikon 24-70mm.)
