I definitely lean towards telephoto. My walk around lenses are usually in the 50 to 200mm range. Currently I like using the 135 the most. Do you think that our lenses should cover a very large focal length ? - Arthur Macmillan - 10-15-2016 Just to be sure, you are talking about total range and not wide range in a single lens? I bought the Tamron 18-200mm when it was the widest zoom out there at the time. I loved it at first. Then I found I didn't really need it. Having the 18-55mm was good enough to cover that range. Otherwise I was mostly using it for 200mm. So I bought a longer lens! My current range is 10-500mm, not including fisheye attachments, and teleconverters. So if total range is the question...YES! |
