Missing Zeiss reviews - youpii - 01-31-2015

Hello

Some Zeiss primes have never been reviewed by PZ:
 • Sonnar T* E 24mm F1.8 ZA (SEL24F18Z)

I used one for a couple of week and found it to be very good, would have bought one but I sold the NEX-6 for A7r
 • Sonnar T* FE 55mm F1.8 ZA (SEL55F18Z)

I have one. Very sharp... really.
 • Planar T* 50mm F1.4 ZA (SAL50F14Z)

From the reviews and Flickr pictures, not as sharp as the Sigma Art but with nicer bokeh

Primes are probably faster to review than zooms and much less likely to be decentered.

Could you please put them in the pipeline?

Is the Planar 1.4/50 ZA optically different from the ZF & ZE versions? Both of them have been reviewed already Wink

You're right. I was thinking of the Sony-specific Zeiss lenses but my post was not clear about that.

I will test the 55. Not sure about the others.

These would probably be the most boring reviews ever - the 1.4/55 is perfect, the 1.4/85 is better Big Grin

Quite different. The Sony lens is an autofocus lens costing around $1500.

This is the ZE/ZF manual focus lens ($725):

This the Sony Zeiss:
