That Bokeh Fringing is horrific! I think it could be a deal breaker for me if I was a NEX user.

What is interesting about this lens is the concave front element, pretty unusual. The LoCA indeed seems a little strong.

My sample was worse than my 50 and 24. The 50 performs quite good for me in big prints.


But after getting the Rico GR I'm not sure anymore that that lens mounts are a good idea for wide to normal angles. It's so good that I will probably never go FX.

The petal shaped hood seems a bit odd for a 35mm focal length on APS-C.
