Bought negatives scanner, now I need drivers and software - toni-a - 08-25-2017 I just bought Canon canoscam FS4000 US the specs seemed all I needed, however I am having trouble finding software or driver that would run on windows 10, anyone can help Bought negatives scanner, now I need drivers and software - stoppingdown - 08-25-2017 toni-a, I had a similar problem in the past, as I own a very old flat scanner - which still perfectly work, given that I only use it for scanning financial documents, so no need for ultra quality - that, at a certain operating system upgrade, was no more detected by the system, clearly because it support by Apple had been dropped. I hate being forced to drop a working piece of hardware just because of missing software. I found that VueScan was able to deal with it, without the need of drivers (because I'm on MacOS; for Windows, VueScan provides its own drivers). Since you can try it freely, I think it's worth while. There's a version for Windows too. Your scanner seems to be supported: https://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/canon_fs4000.html#technical-information Quote: Bought negatives scanner, now I need drivers and software - miro - 08-25-2017 Runing a virtual machine of windows xp/7could be a solution.vmware and virtual box are the most popular vitual machines https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLAEgS1oQYQ Bought negatives scanner, now I need drivers and software - toni-a - 08-25-2017 I have an old laptop with windows XP, it will do the job but I need the software that used to come with it Bought negatives scanner, now I need drivers and software - Rainer - 08-27-2017 Hi Toni-a, I was able to locate the driver for your your scanner on the Canon website within minutes. The latest driver is the one for Win-XP 32bit ... which is hopefully what you have. With that driver installed and running you should be able to operate the scanner. Rainer Bought negatives scanner, now I need drivers and software - joachim - 08-28-2017 I used to use Vuescan for my Nikon and Epson scanner instead of the original software. Due to lack of time I am not doing film any longer. I would try this again if I wanted to get back to it. J.
