I just bought Canon canoscam FS4000 US the specs seemed all I needed, however I am having trouble finding software or driver that would run on windows 10, anyone can help

toni-a, I had a similar problem in the past, as I own a very old flat scanner - which still perfectly work, given that I only use it for scanning financial documents, so no need for ultra quality - that, at a certain operating system upgrade, was no more detected by the system, clearly because it support by Apple had been dropped. I hate being forced to drop a working piece of hardware just because of missing software.
I found that VueScan was able to deal with it, without the need of drivers (because I'm on MacOS; for Windows, VueScan provides its own drivers). Since you can try it freely, I think it's worth while. There's a version for Windows too.

Hi Toni-a,
I was able to locate the driver for your your scanner on the Canon website within minutes.
The latest driver is the one for Win-XP 32bit ... which is hopefully what you have.
With that driver installed and running you should be able to operate the scanner.

I used to use Vuescan for my Nikon and Epson scanner instead of the original software. Due to lack of time I am not doing film any longer.
I would try this again if I wanted to get back to it.

I am scanning my first roll, Vuescan is working very well, I am quite happy with the results however the scanner is extremely slow, in one hour I barely scanned 10 frames, it does batch processing but it is really slow, and since I am not a big fan of scanner sitting...
