Ok it's not practical, requires complex equipement and handling yet it's an interestinf approach, someone had to do it

The cited article is just advertisement for the water producer.

 

The idea of lenses made of liquids, or other new materials that can change focal without moving (or moving less), might be absolutely interesting, if it sooner or later worked. Pity that, as Rover said, it was due since a long time...
