I'd take the results with a pinch of salt however, the dxomark lost some credibility in my eyes with D90 having much higher sensor score than D300 <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Huh' />

yes, I don't know what to make of it, but it was interesting to see that the J1/V1 did better than all the MFT cameras and also better than the old D200. Unsurprisingly, APS-C sensors do better than the smaller ones; thus the X100 beat them! It seems more and more clear to me that Nikon is aiming at the market just below the smallest DSLR's where it has no other camera and thus fill the gap between the expert compacts like the P7100 and G100 and the D3100. Makes no sense to shoot yourself in the foot like Sony seems to be doing all the time!
