In case anybody is interested: the tested sample is for sale.
I usually wouldn't post a for sale ad here, especially not for lenses I have reviewed myself. ' />The lens has been purchased new in February 2011, so it is still under warranty. It has not seen much use and is in very good condition, as the images in the review show.

I really like the white colour tele and I don't understand why Nikon stopped producing white (or grey) color 70-200s.

Wish I needed a 70-200/2.8 lens. Doubt that will ever have the chance to buy such a precisely known quantity of anything ever again, be it new or used.

No, only the non-IS and the new IS II. The initial IS version is discontinued.
