Please advise [/quote] If you need a long zoomrange, do get an SX30, or one of the Panasonic equivalents. If you are looking for better image quality, and RAW files, a G12 (or even G11 or G10) are great cameras. Size wise, the Canon G series certainly are more compact than the superzoom cameras. If you need superzoom in a compact package, look at the Panasonic TZ series. Generally speaking, you can do more with Canons from a manual control POV, if you are so inclined. The Canon G series also take an external flash if need be. Personally, if I can't carry a dslr, I have a G10 with me <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />. HTH, kind regards, Wim |
