Technically direct ray-flash knock offs (like coco or saturn) should be better - I've read in forums that o-flash has only one light channel (as opposed to two) so lighting is not uniform.

LOL... regardless of the technical details, I must say it's an odd design... Like executing the lens by hanging ona gibbet!...
